Workers from Türkiye – the direction for technical and construction companies

Türkiye is one of the region's largest producers of steel, furniture, textiles and automotive parts. Candidates come from genuinely operating industry where quality standards are dictated by exports to the European Union. For a Ukrainian employer that means people who already know European technical documentation and quality control.

The strongest side of this direction is welding and steel structure assembly. Turkish companies deliver construction contracts across the Middle East and North Africa, and welders work to certificates aligned with European standards, including ISO 9606-1. This is exactly the profile Ukraine lacks most.

For Türkiye we run the full process ourselves: sourcing and pre-selection, interviews and practical welding tests, diploma and certificate verification, sworn translations, medical checks and insurance, and client approval of every profile before an offer is made. Flights and accommodation are planned early so the arrival date stays realistic.

Benefits

Why companies choose workers from Türkiye

Welding at European level

Certificates aligned with ISO 9606-1 and experience in steel structures and pipelines. The strongest technical profile in the whole region.

Real export industry

Steel, furniture, textiles and automotive produced for the EU market. Candidates know quality control and technical documentation to European standards.

Large-contract experience

Turkish construction firms deliver projects across the Middle East and Africa. Candidates know huge sites and strict schedules.

English among technical staff

Technicians, foremen and engineers often speak English, making it easy to build teams with a Turkish lead communicating with Ukrainian management.

International transport

Drivers with experience on Türkiye–EU routes who know customs procedures, tachographs and long transit runs.

Proximity and logistics

Short, frequent and cheap flights from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Relocation is faster and cheaper than from Asian directions.

Qualifications

How we verify Turkish candidates

The Turkish vocational education system is extensive and well documented. Every candidate profile includes a diploma scan, welding certificates, employment history in specific plants and an assessment of English.

Welding certificates

Qualifications issued to European standards, including ISO 9606-1, specifying method, position and material. For demanding processes we confirm them with a practical exam in Ukraine.

Technical school diplomas

Vocational high schools and industrial technical colleges train operators, fitters, electricians and mechanics. Programmes include plant placements, so graduates do not start from zero.

Industrial employment history

We verify work in specific plants: steelworks, furniture factories, automotive suppliers and construction firms delivering foreign contracts.

C+E licence and code 95

A Turkish licence does not allow professional haulage in the EU. We plan the exchange after the residence registration is completed, together with initial qualification and code 95.

Where we recruit in Türkiye

The region of origin genuinely shapes the professional profile.

  • Istanbul and Marmara

The country's largest industrial and logistics hub. Manufacturing, construction, warehousing and services. Best candidate availability in the whole country.

  • Bursa and Kocaeli

The automotive and metal belt – machine operators, fitters, welders and maintenance mechanics.

  • Izmir and the Aegean coast

Light industry, textiles, processing and tourism. Candidates with export experience and more frequent English.

  • Gaziantep and the south-east

Furniture, textiles and food processing. The region with the highest willingness to relocate for work.

  • Ankara and Central Anatolia

Infrastructure construction, steel structures and installations. Candidates from large public projects.

Industries

Where workers from Türkiye perform best

Türkiye is a technical and construction direction with a very strong metal and furniture base. Below are the industries where it delivers the best results.

Turkish construction firms deliver contracts across the Middle East. Candidates know large sites, work at height and strict schedules.

  • Construction worker
  • Steel fixer
  • Installation fitter
  • Site electrician
  • Construction machinery operator

Furniture and wood processing

Türkiye is one of the region's largest furniture exporters. Joiners and woodworking machine operators know serial production for the EU market.

  • Joiner

  • Paint sprayer

Transport and logistics

Drivers experienced on Türkiye–EU routes who know customs procedures and tachographs, plus warehouse and terminal staff.

Cultural integration

Challenges and proven solutions

Turkish teams settle in smoothly provided communication and a few organisational matters are set up at the start. Below are the four issues that in practice decide whether the first year passes without turnover.

No shared Russian

Unlike eastern directions, Russian does not work here. For larger groups it is worth appointing a foreman who speaks Turkish and English and preparing bilingual workstation instructions.

Ramadan and meals

Türkiye is secular, but most candidates are Muslim. A pork-free canteen alternative, roster flexibility during Ramadan and a quiet space for a short break are entirely sufficient.

Registration and banking formalities

Address registration and opening a bank account fill the first weeks. The coordinator handles both directly, so onboarding never stalls.

Climate and the first weeks

Candidates from southern Türkiye do not know Ukrainian winters. A warm clothing pack on arrival and scheduling arrivals outside the deepest frost measurably reduce drop-outs.

Yes. We handle the full process on the employer's behalf: sourcing, document and qualification verification, contract preparation, relocation and onboarding.
Realistically 1 to 3 months from signing the contract to the first day at work. Sourcing, interviews and trade tests usually take 4–6 weeks, and sworn translations, medical checks and travel preparation take another 2–4 weeks, depending on the role, group size and flight availability.
In most cases yes – the relevant authority issues a statement confirming local recruitment was unsuccessful. The exemption applies to roles on the regional shortage occupation list. We always check this at the start because it drives the timeline.
Turkish is the native language. English is common among technicians, engineers and mid-level supervisors, less so among manual workers. Russian is practically absent, so for larger groups it is worth planning a foreman who speaks Turkish and English.
Not for professional haulage. The driver must exchange the licence once the residence registration is completed, complete initial qualification and the code 95 entry. Turkish drivers do, however, have extensive experience on Türkiye–EU international routes.
Construction and steel structures, welding, industrial and furniture manufacturing, textiles and hospitality. Türkiye is one of Europe's largest steel and furniture producers, so the technical base of candidates is genuinely high.
Türkiye is a secular country, but most candidates are Muslim. In practice a pork-free canteen alternative, roster flexibility during Ramadan and a quiet space for a short break are enough. This is the standard we implement with all clients.
Türkiye is a strong welding market with certificates aligned to European standards, including ISO 9606-1. Documents are verified before a candidate is presented and, for demanding processes, confirmed by a practical exam in Ukraine.
For unregulated occupations sworn translations of diplomas and certificates are enough. Formal recognition applies to regulated professions. Technical and operator qualifications are verified on documents.
Accommodation provided by the employer or agency is the standard. We arrange flights from Istanbul, Ankara or Izmir, transfer, housing that meets sanitary requirements, registration, a and a bank account.
A client approval process is usually issued for up to three years and can be extended. After arrival the worker can apply for a long-term contract renewal, which keeps employment running without gaps.
The budget consists of the agency fee, sworn translations, medical checks and insurance, flights and transfer, accommodation and onboarding after arrival. We prepare an exact calculation for the specific role and headcount – with no hidden items.
